The reason Supers are holding back or just dripping.

We've seen it asked again and again:
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SUPER DELEGATES?!?!
CAN'T THEY DO MATH???
DON'T THEY SEE???
WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?
WHY DON'T THEY CALL COME OUT AT ONCE??
Some discussion and possible answers to these questions below the fold.

Lost in today's posts about PA are the latest national trackers which came out today.
I am very happy to see that today's numbers confirm yesterday's hopes that the ABC 'debate' was just a speed bump for Barack Obama. His fastest recovery so far, in fact.
The Gallup daily results are here.
The Rasmussen daily results are here.
And I always love to look at Gallup's complete trend graph.

Go to WebMD and look up:
- Heart Palpitations

You'll find what I found: Call a doctor immediately.
That was me yesterday, and this is that story.
The four types of Obama non-supporters

This diary is in trouble before it begins because it's all about sweeping generalizations. I'm bound to get it wrong on several counts. I apologize in advance for that, but I'm really trying to sort this out.
So can people who do not support Barack's candidacy be categorized? Can we sort them out into neat little piles so we get a better idea of the field?
Whoops! Probably not what was expected! (video)

I apologize if this was posted before. This is actually pretty old news, but it was new to me. I came across it on this blog.
What it appears to be is some guy walking around an Obama rally trying to make fools of Obama fans. So he walks up to what he must have figured was a 'Homey' and tries to peg him with some tough questions.

I find it interesting that the numbers are converging as the gap becomes more clear.
Obama is definitely ahead nationally right now. We'll have to see what happens in the next two weeks. The lead seems a bit fragile though the trend itself has been rather unstoppable.

Obama bouncing back once again!
He's now only down a statistically insignificant two points, and that's will some of the bad news days still in the rolling average.
Tomorrow, all the poll values will be post Race Speech. Expect Obama to be back on top.
They are scared.

You can see it happening. For a while, it was cute. For a while, it was self-serving. 'Let the plebes have their hero. Let them get whipped up into a frenzy. It's good for 'the Party'. When the time comes, we'll make sure they do the right thing.'
For them, Democracy has always been a bit of a joke. A private joke, and the joke has been on us.
